An unforgettable journey...

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware. The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. That’s what I exactly feel when I walk down the memory lane. I still remember the day when I stepped in Bangladesh airport with my three other friends (Kiran Ghimire, Kusum Adhikari and Nischal). Unknown people, unknown place, hot air everywhere and a totally different environment. But when we reached the resort the scenario had totally changed almost 200 leos in a place who were ready to roar. Its then when the actual fun began. Opening ceremony, DJ party, competitions, sightseeing, stalls, camp fire, swimming in the sea, evening walk in the beach and many more. Seems like a holiday package right? But the story is not over yet. There I learned what actually leoism was about what lionism was about what were the actual responsibilities and the motive behind being a leo and what we could do. They presented how their actions had brought a change in their places and what we could do as well. With Alexis Vincent Gomes as our honorary guest we exchanged our experiences and pledged that serving people wholeheartedly would be the target of our life. All travel has its advantages. If the passenger visits better countries, he may learn to improve his own. And if fortune carries him to worse, he may learn to enjoy it. There were some instances when I really wanted to return back to Nepal there were times when I never wanted to go back. There were times when the development of Bangladesh fascinated me a lot  and there were times the poverty misery and pathetic situation of the women there pinched me. There were instances when I felt that Karl Marx was right when he stated that there will always be difference between the have and have not’s but when I saw the activities of leo there bringing changes in the lives of many individuals I also realized that one initiation or one step can make a difference collective force can bring a change and one day the world will surely be a beautiful place to live in.The multiple youth camp in Gazipur taught me a lot so right here and right now let’s pledge that wherever we go we will always have leoism in our blood and promote feeling of fellowship and service.
